FPMI Wins DOD-Nominated Courseware Award

FPMI, an industry leader in integrated training solutions, recently won first place in a national competition for training courseware it developed for the Department of Defense

FPMI's San Antonio Integrated Training Solutions (ITS) team developed the DOD HAZMAT Packaging Course jointly with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Training Center, the DLA Defense Distribution Center and the Navy Inventory Control Point for use by DOD employees worldwide

The courseware was developed at the request of the DOD Defense Packaging and Policy Group (DPPG) because it recognized that a self-paced, computer-based program for packaging of HAZMAT was unavailable. Nominated by DOD employees, the courseware won the National Institute of Packaging, Handling, and Logistics Engineers 2006 award in the Computer Software Program/System category

FPMI's ITS team along with team members from the Defense Distribution Center and the Navy Inventory Control Point will accept the award at the NIPHLE Training Conference in Baltimore June 7
